Years 7 to 10 (Maths, English, Science)
A strong learning foundation in Years 7 -10 is the key to achieve better results in Year 11 and 12. Our high school classes can range from a one-on-one setting to a group setting with a maximum of 4-5 students in each class. We use small classes as this allows the tutor to meet the individual needs of each student and help them to better understand concepts taught in class. Our tutors also offer help with school assignments and preparation for exams.
Students of all levels of ability benefit from this program which helps them progress as they go through high school. The program covers all operations, fractions, decimals and percentages, geometry, algebra and equations, statistics and probability, as well as strategies for solving both routine and complicated word problems.
Learning how to plan and write texts is a major component of this program. Students find this very useful across a range of subjects. The program covers reading comprehension and written expression of a wide range of text types such as essays, exposition, information reports, media texts and poetry. Students will also receive time in the lesson to revise grammar, punctuation and spelling and to also develop their vocabulary to improve their writing style, skills and techniques.
This program helps students to work scientifically by developing their problem solving and experimental skills. The syllabus covers Physical World, Earth and Space, Living World and Chemical World. This course prepares students to take up science stream subjects in HSC.
